The history of the club dates back to 1878 when it was formed. During its 130 year history the club has predominantly played under amateur status, however, there was a breif spell in the early 1960s when the team had a very successfull period as an under 21s side.
Club Names
Throughout its history the club has adorned many different names; At the time of its formation it was called Kettle United. From here the club has used the following names; Kettle Vale, Kettle FC, Kettle Amateurs, kettle Juveniles and Station Inn. Now the club has once again adorned the name from its original formation - kettle United.
Football Pitches
Since the clubs formation their football has been played on 4 different pitches within the village, these include;
- Myreside- (opposite the Station Inn, approx 200 yards west)
- A par just off Ladyband Road
- A public park donated by Major Lawson (on Cemetry Road)
- Its present position in Rumdewan
After a brief spell of non-activity the club was restored by the locals. After the reincarnation the club went straight into the North East Fife league, however after just one season the club were invited to join the breakaway Kingdom Caledonian league to play alongside Fifes elite teams. This league had been formed 4 years previous to Kettle joining. Since joining the team have been consistantly performing att a high standard, maintaining a high position in the top half of the league and challenging for the title.
The club has since established a reputation of playing some of the finest football and producing some of the best players in Fife, with many making the step up to junior and senior leagues.

The club have also had success in the Scottish Cup but have twice been knocked out in the Quarter-Final stage by the eventual winners of the competition.
